Terms and Conditions

By purchasing from Kingfisher Stock you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.

Acceptance of order

Confirmation of our acceptance of your order will be when we confirm dispatch of the order from our warehouse via email. Up until this point we reserve the right to refuse the order and to refund the card used for payment.

For avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via our site does not constitute an acceptance of order.

Product Instructions / Operating Manual

All items should come with a manufacturers handbook or instruction guide. Please ensure that prior to using or assembling your item you take time to read the full detailed instructions.

It is particularly important in the case of pushchairs that you are fully aware how the mechanism for opening and folding the pushchair operates.

Failure to read the manual may result in damage occurring or a fault arising that is due to improper use and this will not be covered under the warranty. For full details of item warranty please see specific section.

What happens if my parcel is damaged in transit?

All of our parcels are covered by DHL insurance and whilst every care is taken with your parcel, occasionally an item may be damaged in transit. Any items damaged in transit will be collected by DHL, free of charge.

All goods must be signed for and inspected on receipt.

If on opening your item you find that it is damaged, is missing contents or faulty please contact customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk stating your order number, date ordered, delivery address & details of the product fault, any shortage and/or damage.

For all items dispatched by DHL we must be notified by email at customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk within 48 hours of receipt of your item if the item is damaged or faulty or has missing contents. No exceptions will be made whatsoever.

A replacement will then be dispatched to you immediately free of charge. If we do not have the item in stock, you will be refunded in full within 48 hours.

What happens if I receive an incorrect or incomplete order?

Due to the state of the art logistical systems we have in place this should not happen. All goods are checked three times, at different stages of the picking/packing process, before they are dispatched.

However, if you receive an incorrect or incomplete order please advise us by email at customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk immediately. We will then investigate the matter and try to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and offer you a satisfactory solution.

Please include as much detail as possible to enable us to resolve the problem.

What should I do if a component part or the instruction manual are missing?

On some rare occasions there may be a small part missing or damaged or the instruction manual may be absent. By small part we mean an item such as a screw or attachment or part of a fixing kit or an accessory to the main item. In these circumstances we will not replace the whole item.

Please email us at customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk and we will arrange to send a replacement part out to you as quickly as possible.

Please note we may have to request this direct from the manufacturer. You will be advised of an estimated time scale to resolve the matter.

Cancellation of order

If you wish to cancel an order, this can be done anytime up until it is collected by our courier. If the parcel has been collected by our courier before we receive notification of cancellation, you will be refunded minus any delivery and insurance charges. Please note that all cancellations will only be accepted as being received by email at customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk to ensure that all relating correspondence is documented.

Cancellation rights/acceptance of goods

You will inspect the products within a reasonable time after they have been received by you.

You will be deemed to have accepted the goods unless you notify us under your right to cancel the order (as below) within 7 working days of receipt or you notify us as per out terms and conditions that the item is damaged or faulty on receipt.

If you do not take this action within the time that we have outlined then we will consider the products being as fit for its purpose, of satisfactory quality and as being as described.

We will not accept any rejection or cancellation at a later date.

Under the distance selling regulations you have a cooling off period of seven working days to enable you to examine the goods supplied.

During that time you may cancel the order in writing via email.

Please email customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk and you will be given a RMA (return merchant authorisation number).

Very Important. If you do wish to cancel your order the goods must be unused with all labels intact, in all original packaging, with all instructions and totally re-saleable.

You must take reasonable care of the goods. We will not deem that you have taken reasonable care of the goods if they have been used or damaged in any way.

Should you decide to return the item to us you will be responsible for the return postage charge. It can be shipped back via a service of your choice although we do recommend a secure tracked method that requires a signature on delivery. Alternatively we can arrange for our courier to collect the item from you. The cost will vary depending on your location. Please note we are unable to arrange courier collection of any items from Southern Ireland.

These fixed costs apply even if your goods were dispatched on a free delivery and there will be no exceptions whatsoever.

The original box must not be damaged in any way. It must be re-sealed with clear tape and a plain piece of white paper attached to the box with all of your details on it. Please do not mark the box in any way. If the box is in a damaged condition when received by us we reserve the right to make a charge for this.

If you choose for us to arrange for our courier, DHL, to collect the item from you and to return it to us, the following will apply. If a collection is arranged and you are not at home as agreed a £5 fee will be charged for the aborted collection. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Upon receiving the returned goods a warehouse manager will check and inspect the goods and provide a report. If we deem appropriate, photographic evidence will be taken.

Only if the goods are in exactly the same condition as when they were dispatched will we refund you (within 7 working days) in full, less postage costs incurred as stated above.

Please note that our warehouse managers decision on the condition of the returned goods and the refund to the customer is final & no exceptions will be made whatsoever if the returned goods are not in exactly the same condition as when they were dispatched.

Exceptions to the right to cancel

An order cannot be cancelled on these terms if you have used the goods in any way, or in the case of self assembly furniture items, started to assemble them, unless they were faulty before you started assembly.

If an order of furniture is delivered to you and assembled in your home by the manufacturer or a company employed by them, then you are considered to have accepted the items when you sign to say that you have received them and that they are satisfactory.

In the interest of health & safety we do not accept any returns on any personal care product if the seal has been broken on the packaging.

Faulty items at the point of sale

Where goods are faulty on receipt we will arrange collection from you and offer either a full refund or a replacement item.

Please notify us at customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk immediately and include all order details, date purchased and full delivery address.

We try very hard to ensure that all of the pricing information shown on our website is accurate. Rarely an error may occur and goods may be wrongly priced. If we discover there has been an error with the pricing of any item then we will contact you prior to dispatching the order to notify you of the error. You will be asked if you wish to cancel the order or to proceed with the order at the correct price. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Descriptions & Images

We take great care to ensure that the detailed descriptions we provide are as accurate as possible. To the best of our knowledge all of the information that we have provided is correct.

However due to product development, design, specification changes and colours this may vary from time to time. Although we take great care with the pictorial representations of the product the limitations in the process mean that we are unable to guarantee that the colouring matches that of the actual product.

Please note that the name given to particular product is not necessarily representative of the colour. If you are unsure about any item then please, prior to purchase, email us at customerservices@kingfisherstock.co.uk and we will do our best to answer your query.

We reserve the right to change the specifications of products on our site without prior notification.

Some products such as cots and cot beds are made from wood. Wood is a natural product and therefore each item is unique and there will be variation in the grade and shade of wood used and the varnished finish of the item.

All colours, sizes and weights shown are intended to be used as a guide only.

Representations of colours are approximate due to the limitations of photography and calibrations of different output devices.

Product specifications

All products that we sell conform to all required specifications for that particular product.
